Description
Back when we were waiting for the Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Samsung had revised both devices’ user manuals for Nougat a month before the official update started rolling out. We’re not sure when the Oreo manual for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ was uploaded, but the manuals are now available for download from Samsung Brazil’s website. As the official unveiling of the Galaxy S9 series inches closer, more and more information about the devices and its accessories are leaking online. After alleged press renders of the phone, seemingly official cases, Dex Pad, etc., the new fast wireless charger (EP-N5100) that is supposed to be announced along with the Galaxy S9 series has also made its way online through a user manual.
With the Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung is aiming to set a new benchmark, defining what a modern smartphone should look and feel like. Without a doubt, the most striking feature of the device is its curved Infinity Display that visually stretches from edge to edge. The screen is also taller, allowing the phone to be manageable in one hand, all while providing plentiful display space. Like it or not, the physical buttons have been replaced with on-screen ones, while the fingerprint scanner has been re-positioned on the back. The camera is similar to the one on the Galaxy S7, but the improved software allows the phone to deliver better photos by stitching areas of multiple frames together. On the hardware front, the Snapdragon 835 provides plenty of processing power, all while being more energy efficient than its predecessors.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will officially go on sale very soon in the US. If you still have questions about the new flagship Android phones from Samsung, some of them might be answered by reading the English user manual for both devices.

The manual itself is for the international variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus (SM-G950F/G955F). It’s a pretty lengthy document, clocking in at over 230 pages. As you might expect, the manual first goes over the basic features of the new phones, including how to get them set up for the first time, how to install or remove the phones’ SIM cards and more. There are also a couple of pages devoted to how to handle a situation if the phones start overheating.
